Coconut oil-Shea Butter-Honey Lotion bars

As winter is around, many of us might find skin drying a common problem. These coconut oil-shea butter and honey lotion bars are great for your skin and they are made with all natural ingredients. A lotion bar is a solid bar that melts on the contact of your skin and contains butters and oils. Beeswax is added to homemade lotion bar recipes so they stay solid. However in our recipe we are excluding the beewax to avoid waxy feeling that beewax gives to the bar. Shea butter and coconut oil act as excellent moisturizer to your skin. Coconut oil also helps in repairing and rejuvenating damaged skin while honey will make your skin glow! Ingredients: 1. 1/4th cup organic Shea butter 2. 1/4th cup organic coconut oil 3. 2 tbsp organic honey 4. Few dried rose or lavender buds (optional, not seen in the picture) 6. Heart s...

Mason Jar Candle Holder - DIY

Simple DIY candle holder that can add dramatic shades to your hall. You need a empty glass jar, some glue(fevicol), some glitter and satin ribbon. I have used an empty jam jar as it is easy to peel of its label.  Draw any shapes of your choice on the outer surface of jar using a sketch pen. Apply glue on the inside of the drawn outline of shapes and sprinkle the glitter over it. Gently shake excess glitter and let the jar dry. Decorate with satin ribbon and add a candle of your choice inside the jar. With the glitter it gets quite messy around, so make sure you use some old newspapers as your base work area.

Vibrant corner decor created with clay artifacts - DIY

You must have seen those roadside sellers, selling clay pots in various sizes and shapes along with regular plant pots. I am always fascinated by these and wanted to incorporate them in my home. So I created this corner with a horse shaped clay pot, a boat shaped clay pot , a few artificial flowers, some indoor plants and old show piece.  You can go with your imagination when creating a corner decor with clay pots.  Just opt for fresh colors, different shapes and add few more natural elements like plants and you will have a eye catching point in your home!!
